I've always been chiefly a modeler, with plasticine, terracotta and wax as my materials and in that same order of preference. I've also produced a fair amount of carvings in stone and wood as well. In addition, I've worked on a number of fabricated welded metal sculptures over the years.
A large number of my modeled works ultimately are cast in bronze, with a small number cast in iron, and almost all are cast by myself. I create all of my own molds, pour the necessary waxes and melt and pour the metal. I've been a bronze caster as well as a sculptor since 1982.
My works range in size from tiny necklace pieces to over lifesize statues and portrait busts. I've worked on numerous architectural commissions, many of which are in relief, and my years of drawing have been invaluable to that end.
I'm proud to relate that I've always enjoyed any commission that has been handed to me and always happily work with any collectors to create an artwork that embodies their wishes as well as my own artistic expression. This, I think, is the perfect collaboration, "our mutual bliss."
